Looking for something for DS (17), he is not really into style and fragrance so doesn't have a favourite but he has a few dressy up things coming up and I think he'd like something better than just deodorant but also don't want to spend a lot as he may not really wear it very much.

He can't borrow from DH as he has allergies to perfumed stuff so doesn't wear it and I don't think he'd like a spray of my perfume :o

Paul Smith do some nice ones which are often quite cheap on Amazon.

I've bought Body Shop fragrances for my 18 and 21 year olds. They quite often have good reductions at this time of year. They were 40% off when I bought them a couple of weeks ago so worked out at around £9 each for 100ml bottles.

Thanks will have a wee look. Might need to be an early present though as he's now said he's intending asking a girl to the school dance.

Nifflerbowtruckle · 06/12/2018 12:26

Next do some nice ones but my BIL wears Adidas ice dive and that smells lovely. Tbh the other Adidas ones are nice too and they are £5 max.

Thanks for the suggestions, I need to pop into town on Saturday so thinking we might have a few sniffs of what is there and pick up something. We have a next, a body shop and a primark and a boots and I have Amazon prime if all else fails :)

Police to be is lovely and they always have huge bottles on offer in savers or superdrug. Probs online shops too.

ScreamingValenta · 06/12/2018 19:48

Avon 'Luck for him' is nice and very cheap.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 06/12/2018 20:33

Zara had one called Zara Man which was lovely and didn't smell cheap like some of them do

A580Hojas · 06/12/2018 20:35

Body Shop Arber is lovely!

Gatekeeper · 07/12/2018 08:45

Ted Baker ones are lovely -you can gets sets with aftershave, body spray, body wash etc. The black one is very good

Marmite27 · 07/12/2018 08:47

Iceberg twice is nice. My DH and FiL wear it on occasion. It’s £13-ish at the perfume store.

Truckingonandon · 07/12/2018 08:51

Dear ones/dupes on Perfume Parlour.

Sarge17 · 07/12/2018 08:52

Another vote for Next!

NotQuitePerfect · 07/12/2018 08:56

Try X-Bolt from Lidl, £4!

I’m not even joking, it’s a dupe for Hugo Boss. Apparently came about 2nd or 3rd in a newspaper blind sniff test, up against premium brands, a few years ago.

It’s lovelt - my DH and DS have both had it and I will buy it again.

lotsoffreckles · 07/12/2018 09:14

I came on to say Zara do some lovely ones (I wear one to work each day) x

Sweetpea15 · 08/12/2018 13:14

Joop Homme is £20.99 in B&M- by brother and husband both like that. My husband also likes River Islands own stuff.

SixToEightInchesOfSnow · 08/12/2018 13:23

Another vote for Next. DS May only be 9 but he’s always doused in Code Red 😂.

I got a nice set of six miniature bottles in marks and Spencer called the fragrance collection. I got this for half price over the past few days for somewhere around £10.They are in spray bottles. I smelt some of them before buying and they were nice and not very strong. They could be ideal for a 17 year old.
