Christmas gift for our cleaner

Hi all, I'm after a little advice and inspiration! We have a really lovely cleaner who helps us out once a fortnight and who very kindly and unexpectedly bought us a gift when we had our second DC in October. I would really like to buy her something for Christmas as a gesture of thanks for everything she does for us but am not sure how much to spend and what to get her. I don't know much about her really (likes / dislikes) apart from the fact she has two teenage DDs. Does anyone have any thoughts? Thanks so much!

I'd do a nice box of biscuits (she can share with daughters) and maybe a coffee shop voucher if there's one near by? I don't tend to buy alcohol unless I know people drink.

My friend double pays her cleaner at Christmas but it feels impersonal to me although I'm sure lots of people wouldn't mind at all.

I do a small token gift, usually chocolates and cash. I put the money in a nice Christmas envelope. I'd rather give her that and be a bit 'impersonal' than giver her something to my taste that she might not like. Plus she has family and friends to give her personal things. I pay for her hours as usual and put just over double that (rounded up) in the envelope. Hopefully she will get herself something nice because she is a star.

I'll get a small thing that I think she'll like but maybe not buy herself, probably an orchid. And double pay.

Put together a hamper for a hot chocolate - hot chocolate, marshmallows, cream, biscuits and a nice big mug.
Nice candle.
Handcream set.
Nice big box of biscuits or chocolates.
Cosy set for her - fluffy socks, a mug & tea bags.

We do a Christmas card with heartfelt message (including from each of our children) and a weeks wages in it in cash, and a boquet of Christmassy flowers.

I will give ours €50 (we pay her €20 per week) in a card and a homemade chocolate biscuit Christmas pudding (presented on an xmas base and wrapped in cellophane with a big red ribbon ) - she won't mind eating it as she keeps our kitchen spotlessly clean Grin

We give double pay and either a box of posh biscuits or a big box of Chocolates.

I was wondering this as ours is a cleaning company and first year using them, so it’s never the same person, usually one usualish one and others rotate around but the main one isn’t here that much either. And the money is paid direct to the company.

Wine and chocolates for each (they work as a team of 2)
