Christmas cake I can make now

I usually make a cake in October and soak the fruit for a few days, feed it until a week or so before Christmas then ice it. For one reason or another I haven't got round to it this year - has anyone got any good recipes for a cake I can make now? Doesn't have to be majorly boozy, just nice and moist and fruity.

I just started mine yesterday, oops. Am kind of following Delia's Creole Cake recipe - boil up loads of fruit with loads of alcohol, I'll steep for a few days and then make the cake before the end of the week.
It's very rich, almost more of a christmas pudding than a cake. I'm hoping that will make up for the lack of maturing time!

I've halved the amounts and also swapped out some of the booze for whatever is in the cupboard, otherwise it gets bloody expensive.

I always make Mary Berry's Victorian Christmas Cake.

Obviously it's completely different to the classic boozy iced one but I think it's beautiful and delicious. In recent years I've had to make it with gluten free flour and it hasn't affected the texture at all.

There is a boiled fruit cake recipe where you do t have to soak the fruit. It might be Nigella.

I make a chocolate Christmas cake from Nigellas Christmas book - it’s made with prunes, cocoa and tia Maria amoungst other things ,and just bung all the ingredients together and cook -
It’s called ‘Incredibly easy chocolate fruit cake ‘
It tastes amazing and always gets great comments

I made my normal Delia ones today. Just steeped the fruit for 24 hours.

It’ll be fine.

I've just made delias it's fine I really prefer it if it isn't too mature. I soak mine in brandy after it come out of the oven and I will give a couple more feeds then I'll ice.
