So DD has asked for a surprise from Santa! Aaaarrrggghhhh. She has a basic laptop. Has a bike. Would love a unicorn lol but i am out of ideas. Feel like I want to get something reaaly special as she has asked for nothing!! Or has she worked this out? Know she would love an iPad but it seems too much for an 8 year old. Anyone any bright ideas. Still a Santa believer btw

Have you tried taking her to a toy shop for a wander? I find mine will fancy everything that they set eyes on but keep circling back for another look at something they really like.

I have done that (visit to a toy shop). Wander around, pick up and few items "wow this is cool, this looks fun" etc and see what catches her eye. At that age they may not think too ask for dolls/sylvanian families /lego etc but they do still love them. Those 'My Generation' dolls (or own brand cheaper equivelent) frequently caught my daughter's eye (she is 10) and she got one of those dolls a few months ago. You can then buy clothes or make clothes to go with it.
