Present ideas for my granddad please!

He's 80 and not in great health. He doesn't have any hobbies. He used to be in the RAF so likes stuff to do with that, but I haven't got a clue about that sort of thing and if I tried to theme a present around that I'd probably get it wrong.

I have no clue what to get him. Help! What are you getting your granddads for xmas?

A magazine subscription to a military history magazine? Bbc history? National Geographic?

Has anyone done a family tree? Would a subscription to ancestry be an idea?

Oh that's a good idea! I think he'd like a military magazine type subscription.

Here’s a few things that we have got my elderly grandad over the last few years:
Sudoku books
Magnifying glass with integrated light (try Amazon)
Cosy blanket
Framed Photos of grandchildren/ great grandchildren
Local history stuff ( maybe related to area where he grew up, books, prints etc)
