My 9 year old is getting a football table and murderous maths bookset and a couple of games. I've brought a fortnite top. I've also got him an action camera. I've been looking at some wall climbing trainers and also a lava lamp or similar for his room. My mums getting him a minecraft annual, the meltdown and the new David walliams book.

Nintendo switch is the big one.

Book about creative writing. Tons of books, some clothes, semi precious stones, hopefully Brussels sprout flavour crisps & some play ninja weapons & Bear Grylls survival stuff. Then there will be some filler tat of consumables.

My DS has just turned 10. His main present is a PS4 (joint present with DD) as they’ve never had a console before. He’s also getting a couple of games and his grandparents are getting him a Fitbit type thing so very similar! He plays guitar so also getting a couple of guitar related things.

For his birthday he got the Nerf laser guns which he absolutely loves, guitar bits, Hype hoodie and football bits. This is the first year that he hasn’t asked for some crappy toy that will be used once and never again so pretty pleased! Also playing with the idea of getting him the Harry Potter Cluedo game —mainly because I want to play it—.

@Workreturner the nerf laser guns I got are the ones currently reduced to just under £30 on Smyths website. They come with an armband to stick a phone on, which we don't plan on doing. Can't bring the page up[ right now as the lucky boy is in the room.
