Was thinking of a young driver experience for my nephew. He's 14. Do you think he might be too young?

no, i think he would enjoy it. my niece is asking for this experience for christmas and she is 11, nearly 12.

My DCs all did the driving experience at Mercedes Benz world aged between 12 and 14 and loved it.

My little brother who is 14 just did one for his birthday. He loved it and if you purchase more in the future they move up onto different tiers. It was really good and he got a usb stick with footage of his lesson and his driving (£10 extra cost on the day) he loved it and has asked for another for Christmas

No, not too young, he'll love it. My daughter did one at around the same age.

ds(14) has done the driving experience thing 3 times now over the last couple of years for xmas/birthdays, the first 2 times he loved it.

Last time, 1 hour lesson costing £60ish, was a disaster to the point we complained about the instructor. He was an older man who sang "its all about the clutch" Megan Trainer style badly and repeatedly through the whole lesson, ds who is usually quite laid back was fizzing and visibly irritated by the end of the lesson but too polite to say anything to him. They apologised and offered a free lesson in return but we declined as he just doesn't want to go back again.

Dniece went once and didn't want to go back, again because of the again older instructor she got who she thought was very grumpy and made her uncomfortable.

The experience is a great idea but very dependant on the instructor you get and how they get on with teenagers.
