15 year old girls - not make up

Any ideas for my twin nieces, who will turn 15 just after Christmas. Budget £30-£30.

They don't ever wear make up and I don't think they would if they were given some so I don't want to get them that.

Their mum (my sister) doesn't really indulge them in anything trendy so I quite like to spoil them with stuff she wouldn't buy them. A couple of years ago I bought them Next's version of Ugg boots and I was the best person in the world.

They are also quite into art, any nice drawings/painting stuff might be good.

I think teenage girls are quite into those big handbags - any brands I should be aware of?

Also they wear hoodies quite a bit, if I could get one in a brand they would love that would go down well.

Feeing very old trying to work out what's popular or downright embarrassing!

My daughter is nearly 14 and has asked for most of JD Sports this Christmas! Tops, leggings and hoodies - Adidas, Ellesse, North Face, all the expensive stuff!
I've got her a few bits from River Island like basic tops.
Her last few bags have come from Primark and New Look.
I've also done her a little make up bag (Primark) with little bits in liken nail file, lip balm, mascara, hair grips etc... Also body sprays from Hollister which did have 25% off!

My dd is almost 15 and not not make up, she doesn’t like handbags either, not sure if I would buy them handbags as they are a very personal choice (I’m fussy with bags too).

Dd likes Hype for hoodies (they have a sale on at the moment, also their lucky dip deal for £39).

Lush bath bombs and bubble bars.

Japanese sweets.

My dd is 12 but these Ted Baker bags seem very popular with most of the girls at her secondary.

She chose one for her birthday from the Outlet store and it was £26.

Look at Katie Loxton for bags.
Pencil case - Kate Spade or Sara Miller
Nail varnish. My Dd has a weird and wonderful collection including holographic, heat change and scented!
Headphones - Lily England or Skinnydip

Jack wills hoodies are what all the teens around here wear, hugely expensive but excellent quality.

They have a 50% sale on at the moment.

You'd be the coolest auntie if you got them these.

It was mufti day at the secondary girls school we drive past this morning, and all the girls were mostly in big oversized hoodies, so I think that's a good shout :)

New Look or Primark for clothes, or find out which labels they like.
Big box of Sharpies from Tesco at £10 should be a hit!
Books
Tickets for escape room/eating out/cinema/experience they would enjoy
Selection box and amazon voucher
Trendy shoes - converse/vans but may be over budget if they are in adult sizes.
An amazon echo or dot between them

Second vote for jack wills hoodies. Big discounts at the mo. Plus extra £5 off with ‘JACKJINGLE’ code online.

GreenTulips · 29/11/2018 23:40

They stopped wearing Jack Wills round here! Seem more excited by Jack and Jones hoodies - so quite subjective depending on area!

secretuser · 30/11/2018 00:40

Thanks everyone for your great suggestions. I'd thought about JW hoodies last year but didn't get them so I've got them one each this year. Thanks for the heads up about discounts and offer codes, they weren't too expensive in the end.

Agree though that these things are often regional, I think I've seen girls wearing these around where they live on the odd occasion I've been into town with them, so fingers crossed (but I'll keep the receipts in case I've got it totally wrong and am completely uncool!)

Desk easels. The Quantum Art Beech Wood Table Easel 1040mm, 32-41.6 inch is good.
And some canvases, acrylic paint sets, brushes and white palettes from Wilko, excellent value.
