Mission Christmas - Gift idea for 12-18 year old boy

Good news, we're not doing a secret Santa at work, we're doing Mission Christmas - a local radio appeal for gifts for children that are likely to have a difficult Christmas.

The Mission Christmas people say they don't get as many gifts for older boys, but their only suggestions are board games for 9-12 and aftershave for 12-18. Their other suggestions are more girl oriented.

My boy experience only runs up to 9yo - any bright ideas?

I'm thinking around the £15 mark, will get more than one if cheaper, would pay more for a great idea.

Cool cool cool. I reach for the Star Wars (e.g. big hardbacks at a great price in The Works) and wonder if I'm biased as Ds would like that stuff. Earbuds is easy.

I'm going to be a bit dense now - what kind of blind bags do you get from a game store? Is that as in video game?

They have everything from Harry Potter to My Little pony - ask the staff to recommend something- the store Game, or any independent video game shop will have them.

Backpacks are always a good idea. Hype, Converse and Nike are the brands to look for.
