We have bought an Xbox and a Nintendo switch for each of our ds’s this Christmas. These are their main presents. For those of you who have bought your children similar, what other presents have you got them too, if anything?

I have a got Nintendo switch for a main present this year and have also got 3 games for it. Other gifts are things she needs really- a music stand, a new ukulele book, a paint your own clock, some slime and some books. Other than that is little stocking fillers.
Other people have got her board games and a talking Jessie doll which is the only other thing she’s asked for.

Games. Extra controllers. Rechargeable battery packs for xbox.

Can't advise on extra presents, I don't know your child. There will be those coming on saying it's overkill and don't need extra presents though. Just to prepare you Grin

I bought ds an Xbox, extra presents, other than the usual pjs/socks/chocs etc are all to do with the Xbox, so extra control, headset, 1 Years Xbox live and game pass, few extra games.

If going with X Box--X-Box gift card to spend on precious V-bucks if Fortnite mania has reached your home. Rechargeable batteries and charger for controller, X-box live subscription, extra controller

For the Switch, a case that holds game cards and main controller has been invaluable. Extra games, gift card for Nintendo e-shop, etc

@Vagndidit what is a main controller? I've got mine a switch but was under the impression it came with 2

gamerchick · 28/11/2018 09:54

I must admit the size of the cartridges irrationality irritate me with the switch. So much money and they're smaller than a DS cartridge. Something to store them in is a must have.

BatF1nk · 28/11/2018 10:04

@sheswhat it's basically a pro controller. Just far superior that the ones that come with it, very much like an Xbox controller I suppose. And yes another 60 quid, HmmThe buying of 'stuff' to go with a Nintendo switch is seemingly never ending

I have bought my dd the switch, her dad is buying her 2 games, I have bought her a case for it but no other bits, she has a birthday a month after Christmas so if she needs anything she can buy it with her birthday money.

BumbleyBum · 28/11/2018 17:54
