Secret Santa help!

So wise Mumsnetters, I would really appreciate your ideas for my secret Santa present.

Budget of £10 and the recipient is a very intelligent 50 something year old lady with interests in literature, art and philosophy. Shops at Toast, Whistles, Brora and Jigsaw and likes unique homewares from the likes of Labour & Wait in London. Also likes Elle Decoration magazine.

I am really struggling this year and would appreciate any suggestions!

The gift doesn’t have to be brand new - could be second hand or vintage etc.

Thanks so much in advance!!

5 issues of Elle Dec for £5 :)

Thank you @bagginses - annoyingly my sister has already bought her the ED subscription as a birthday present but that is a brilliant offer!

Ahhh I wondered if that had already been taken!

What about a book? The history of colours?

Someaddedsugar · 27/11/2018 21:22

A fab deal though - thank you for sending it over - I bought the Elle one for a friend and the Men’s Health one for DP! Such a bargain!

Thanks @Jackshouse - I’ll have a search along those lines

If she drinks coffee maybe a hamper with syrups or different flavours. Tea - a selection of different flavours. I think you can buy selections from Amazon or twinings etc. Beanies coffee is quite nice.

How about a nice travel mug and a voucher for costa/Starbucks or local independent coffee shop.

A photo frame with a nice photo of you and her or a photo that means something to her.

If she takes lunch a nice set of Tupperware boxes - Bento boxes are fabulous. Or a thermos.

A retro tin or cake tin with homebaked goodies. Millionaires shortbread is v easy and tasty 😁

Or for a super lazy gift a box of nice chocolates and a £5 scratch card taped to the top! Everyone loves a scratch card 😂

vintage silk scarf or vintage brooch from ebay or etsy
gloves - TK Maxx had some lovely Danish ones in, within budget

a beautiful mug, try anthropologie but delivery is a bit steep unless you're near a shop.

failing that I would just scour Etsy or notonthehighstreet.
