Looking for ideas please, i'm clueless in this area. My mums partner is the hardest person to buy for, always says he doesn't want us to spend anything on him, doesn't like gifts. My mum always says to get him socks or chocolate or nothing. He is a lovely man who has had some sad health news this year and I'd really like to make more of an effort than Ferrero Roche. He is obsessed with all sports, particularly statistics and favourite is probably football. He buys a newspaper everyday for the sports results. I suggested his football teams magazine to my mum and she said she didn't know they did one and it's a good idea. Problem is it's over £7 an issue, over budget and can only find it in 3 month subscription. I'm looking for alternatives. Doesn't have to be football, could be mixed sport?
I've stumbled across fourfourtwo football magazine which is much more affordable but don't know what the age of the intended audience is? Would it suit a stats mad pensioner?
