Creative ways to present tickets

I have a couple of tickets to give people for Christmas. I’d like to present them creatively rather than just stuck in an envelope. Has anyone got any ideas how I could do this?

Roll them into a kitchen/toilet roll tube and put wrapping paper and ribbon around so they look like a cracker. That’s what I’ve done before. Or actually open a cracker and repackage.

Don’t be too creative though!
Years ago I gave a friend tickets to a show inside a dvd case with an obviously fake cover which I thought it was hilarious because pirated media was a bit of a hobby horse for her. We did manage to retrieve it before the bins were collected Blush

I’ve got DH tickets to a concert for end of next year. I’m getting ornaments/decorations/pictures that nod towards song titles. For example if it was Elvis and blue suede shoes, I’ll get a blue shoe ornament or put a picture of blue shoes in a little frame. I am planning on doing about 6 things and then give some homeprinted tickets in an envelope

Get an A4 copy of the ticket(s) and then cut it into pieces like a jigsaw. Drop the pieces into a lovely little box with just a question mark on the lid.

gussiefox · 27/11/2018 09:30

....or as PP said, decorate the box with some hints to the actual event.

An old washed out jam jar.

You can either leave it clear with just the tickets or add glitter, shells, sand, tinsel.

Thank you. I’m particularly loving the cracker idea so might have a go at that.

Inside a pair of (useful) socks?..

Winterfellismyhome · 27/11/2018 19:10

I got some plastic popcorn boxes from amazon and put the tickets in there with some sweets then wrapped it in cellophane

Gizlotsmum · 27/11/2018 19:11

You can buy make your own cracker sets from places like hobby craft I did it one year with gift cards. Everyone liked them

GreenMeerkat · 27/11/2018 22:05

I got my DH tickets for his birthday. Hid them in the coffee jar and asked him to make me a brew. He was pretty surprised (and a bit ashamed he moaned about having to make me a brew) Grin

Last year e put them in a blown up balloon and then put in a box with lots of other balloons with messages in them. Dd had to burst the balloons to find her present. This year might go with the cracker idea.

ja9r · 27/11/2018 22:23

What a creative bunch you are! I've just put them inside a gift box. Love the jigsaw idea!

Notasyoungasiwas · 27/11/2018 22:57

hotchocolate86 I've just done exactly that. I've bought a voucher for a couple of nights away for me dh. I emptied a rather flashy(!) cracker, kept the snap in, rolled up the voucher and popped it inside. I'll He'll be thrilled when he opens it Grin

Love the ideas on here, the cracker and the balloon especially.

I bought dd2 concert tickets for her favourite singer a couple of years ago. I bought her a calendar of him, carefully slit the bottom of the wrapping, found the month of the concert and stuck the tickets on the day. I knew she would open it on Christmas Day to look at each month’s picture.

It’s so nice to give a real unexpected surprise when you know they will absolutely love it.

VanellopeVonSchweetz99 · 28/11/2018 01:52

Just to say I love these suggestions.

MonsterKidz · 28/11/2018 02:01

Last year we bought concert tickets for the in laws.

We bought the cheapest, naffest calendar we could find (think like really hideous) and on the date the concert would be, we marked the date with ‘Merry Christmas Mum and Dad’ and a little Xmas sticker.

Wrapped the calendar and let them work it out from there

GobbyMcGobshite · 28/11/2018 02:25

Last year I did the box in box in box in box thing for my DH football tickets. He got half way and genuinely thought there was nothing inside and literally let out a scream when he finally got to the tickets Grin

YerAWizardHarry · 28/11/2018 02:27

I've had a puzzle made with "we are going to the Foo Fighters!" With the date and place along with a photo collage. Think I might put the puzzle inside his cracker on Xmas day now though!

I may at some point get DS tickets to either the Cursed Child or Harry Potter studios and present in this
