Beef dripping or goose fat for the roasties

I am just planning my christmas menu and was wondering whats nicer for Roast potatoes Goosefat or Beef Dripping?

Personally I prefer goose fat, I think they are crisper with that, rather than beef dripping.

see ive never done beef dripping roast potatoes ive always done goosefat on Christmas. I dont even notice the difference if am honest from normal veg oil Blush

I like chicken fat Grin although my DH did look disgusted when I was pouring all the fat from our last roast chickens into a tub to freeze for Christmas...

I use beef dripping for the roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings when cooking with beef but goose fat if I'm doing Turkey/Chicken/Pork/Lamb.

I love beef dripping but if serving with meat other than beef I think the flavour is too intense.

That said it will be dripping for Xmas this year as we've decided to move from the usual turkey to a beef prime rib this year. Yum Grin

Personally, I would just use packet frozen but DH insists we use Goose fat or dripping

Im with DeRigueurMortix that you can only use the beef dripping if not having any other meats.

I use the fat from the turkey. Seems wasteful to throw away the turkey fat but then buy more goose fat.
