Ideas on what to stock up on before Christmas please? I’ve got a list of things, I going to buy a few things each week. Cupboard items, frozen etc. I get my shopping delivered every week and don’t shop in store.

I want to stock up as much as possible. Im aware the shops only shut for one day but I’m worried about getting a slot with Tesco so want to stock up as much as possible (apart from fresher items) in the next few weeks. I live in the middle of nowhere and DS has additional needs and shopping in store at Christmas is a complete no!

Thinking of taking a trip to somewhere like b&m to pick up some cheap snacks soon too?

Tia

I’ve been stocking up on Pringles, crackers, biscuits, treats for visitors. I also always make a soup the week before Xmas and freeze it and have part baked rolls handy as they’ve a long shelf life. Bacon also has a good long date. Other than that the usual cupboard items like pasta and sauces etc and cheese. We have an extra fridge in the garage that’s only used for parties/festive time so I buy extra milk a few days before Xmas and get the longer life ones- though this year will get almond milk in too as it lasts ages and is nice in cereal and coffee etc.

Alcohol and soft drinks.
Biscuits, chocolates, sweets, crackers.
Chutneys, jams, relish.

If you're having guests over the period then don't forget things like extra toilet roll, soap, toothpaste and such.

Random things like:

Aluminium foil
Loo rollls
Kitchen roll
Rennies/paracetamol/ibupokins
Plasters, anti-burn cream (someone always gets burnt taking something out of the oven!)
Extra batteries (for fake tealights, for new toys)
Matches/lighter for candles/xmas pudding
Coke/lemonade for mixers
Baked beans, packet soups (for days you can't be arsed! Or someone is sick)
Extra sellotape

If you are having visitors, you can always ask them to bring XYZ with them as you are running low.
