Have already got the stocking and most presents for under the tree, but no "main" present as such. Remaining budget is £40 but could spend more but would prefer not to.

Have asked her what she wants but she said sunflower seeds, colouring book and lip balm. So I'm after ideas please...?

She’s weird, she wants hurdles and a fitness ladder.

Twitchintervention · 24/11/2018 19:34

@BikeRunSki

My middle daughter is getting a pistol as she competes in triathlons...

When they handed me over a little precious pink bundle I did not forsee the day I would but her a gun for Christmas!!!

Lollyice · 24/11/2018 19:36

7 yo has asked for a brush like a pro Oral B toothbrush Hmm

NotCitrus · 24/11/2018 19:38

Mine wants unicorn slippers and lots of clothes (which she'd get even if she hadn't asked), and some crap unicorn books (she'll get one and some other books) so I'm thinking of a rocker from the Happy Puzzle Company and maybe one of those large balls with a ring round to stand on and wobble. A paint by numbers set might go down well.

We have a tradition of going to the large supermarket nearby on Boxing Day and getting loads of reduced bargains with the kids Christmas money, so I don't buy cutsey crap as she loves choosing it herself.

YouCantBeSadHoldingACupcake · 24/11/2018 19:52

Polly pockets
Miraculous dolls
Camera
Squishies
Pokemon cards
Switch game

BikeRunSki · 24/11/2018 19:52

@twitchintervention. 😊. I can see it coming to that. She got the smallest road bike we could find for her birthday!

Bouchie · 24/11/2018 20:00

mine (Just 8) wants:
a fitbit (found a fake one for a fiver)
a diary
a football kit
a harry potter book (the one we havent got as the dog ate it!)
diary of a wimpy kid
lego

Abelard40 · 24/11/2018 20:19

Polly pocket and squishies... and unicorns!
My 8 year old DD loves those worthy Lottie dolls which she's had since 3 and they bring new ones out all the time which she loves - worth a look they are really lovely and not barbie-like..
Gold coins - in the co-op today they had these MASSIVE ones I know mine will love in their stocking.
And finally search for 'worry eaters' on amazon - so cute - about a tenner - really lovely little plushes with zip mouths for them to post their worries in...

Oh... and satsumas!!!

BikeRunSki · 24/11/2018 20:19

NotCitrus get your Happy Puzzle Company order in early and track it! Also see if the same product is available on Amazon from another supplier. A couple of years ago I placed my THPC order in late November. THPC -1- cancelled my order avd didn’t tell me 2- lost the replacement order (same stuff, no reason given for cancelling the original) and 3- finally order was despatched on 24 hr delivery took 3 days and arrived on the evening of 23 Dec!

StepMug · 24/11/2018 20:36

I’m having the same problem. We have two girls - 6&7.

So far we have various LOL, num noms, squishie crap, a karaoke machine (yay), and a moj moj playset - whatever the fuck that is.

Currently debating a small tablet or possibly iPod touch as it looks a feeble stack when next to DSS PS4 VR!

NotCitrus · 24/11/2018 21:50

@BikeRunSki Noted, thanks! We are fairly casual with presents so in an emergency I could grab extra books/DVDs...

EstoLargo · 24/11/2018 22:08

DD7 - from us a Nintendo switch (shared family present) and one game, and FC is bringing her a John Adams slime kit and a hotwheels starter kit plus stocking with bits

WatchingTheWheels85 · 24/11/2018 22:13

Den kit
Books (she reads 3 books a week easily)
Sewing machine
Yellie
Mystical mao
Crate creature
Bike

MaverickSnoopy · 25/11/2018 13:18

Thanks for the ideas! In the end I went with a selection of things suggested here. I just felt she'd better appreciate a selection of smaller things rather than any big "wow" present which tbh wouldn't be so "wow" for £40....although I did spend a bit more than that.
