Nothing to contribute I'm afraid but I think I'm going to copy and paste that list somewhere as it will probably be very useful in a few years for DS (currently 7). So thanks 😀

I’m stuck with my 9 year old. I need something educational for about £40.

Thinking 3D pen or animation studio....can’t decide though!

I bought a hydraulic robot arm from Amazon for my 9 year old

Mrsdaz - does it have to be one thing for £40 or can it be a number of things? You can get things like top trumps periodic table. I also count books in whatever form as educational - you can get box sets from the book people (eg Ronald Dahl) or you could get audio books and s cheap portable CD player - my kids love listening to them after lights out at night.

9yo DS2 this year has:
Gravitrax
Snap Circuits
Let's Go Pikachu switch game
Pikachu pop pokeball
Books
Human body model
Match Attax
Ivan Rakitic Barcelona shirt

That robot arm looks like something he'd LOVE, MIL was asking for ideas the other day so will definitely forward that to her!

@whenthewhistleblows our house is like a library already lol! He does have the ultimate football heroes books and the creakers. I was hoping for something he can play with really.

He’s asked for an Xbox but we can’t afford that much plus I guess I want him to wait a bit for one.

I’m liking the look of animation studios, gravitrax or the 3D pen! Can’t choose haha
