Best Santa in northeast England?

Can anyone recommend the best Santa in the north east? Last year we were disappointed by a grumpy Santa who moaned about having an Equity card but Santa was the only job he could get! Bonus points if your recommended Santa has a real beard, a worthwhile gift for the price and the option to prebook a slot.

Kielder Winter Wonderland!
It so was amazing & magical I cried!

Keilder winter wonderland IS amazing, I cried too. Not sure you would get tickets now though? What about beamish or Alnwick?

Kielder looks amazing but £40 per person! That’s £120 for two parents to take one child. Are there any good Santas for £10-15?

It’s a full day out and not just Santa, so I think worth the money (although agree pricey!) but it’s literally a full day of live theatre as everyone’s in role and there are SO many activities to do.

Alnwick Garden but I think that is sold out.
At Beamish you cant pre-book to see Santa but you pay £5 on the day for your slot. You have to be there super early though. We went for 10.30am last year (it opens at 10) and the only slots left were 4pm. It was a good Santa though.
Depends where in NE you are, RedFox Garden Centre in Boldon do a full Narnia experience for £10 which is good. But it’s not like you can spend the whole day there so not really worth travelling if you aren’t local to it. It’s just off the A19 though so easy to get to.

There’s not many that are not sold out. Fenwicks has one good Santa and one rubbish one which is annoying as you don’t know who you are getting. Dobbies in ponteland is good and should still have space. You get to choose the gift which can be useful

There’s another Keilder type thing at Hardwick Hall if you’re a bit further south - it’s closer to Darlington

Another vote for Beamish here, get there for opening though, we got there at 10.30 last year and there was no spaces for Santa, still had a great time though and we ve seen him a couple of times. It's a full day out and you get free return for a year as well! I d love to do Kielder, heard amazing things about it!!!

We've done Winter Wonderland which was fab but agree it's very pricey. We've also seen Santa at Wallington which was good and actually quite magical. Good if you've got National Trust membership as you just pay to see Santa.

We're doing afternoon tea with Santa at Dobbies in Ponteland so it's good to know that's got a good Santa 👍
