DDs 17 and 12 have asked for hampers of stationary. Looking for the brilliant brains of MN to help make these fabulous. TIA

Sorry but can I correct the spelling before engaging with the thread?!

StationEry
StationAry means not moving :)

That done:
Fountain pen? I like the Lamy Safari ones
Funky post-it notes - places like Wilkos will probably have them for decent prices
Highlighters
Fineliners
Notebooks - Tiger, Muji and Hema have good ones at v reasonable prices. Paperchase or Moleskine for more expensive.
Desk planner thing that you rip off each week - these probably have a name but I can't think what it is!

Iknowhour · 23/11/2018 19:10

Oh mortified.....😧. Sure no one will believe I am a teacher!
Thank you very much for the ideas as well

Lol - it's a cold, windy Friday in November and you're a teacher. You're doing well if you can still remember/spell your own name! Grin

Paperchase usually have staplers and hole punches in different colours than you normally see.
Pins for a pin board.
Sellotape.
Gel pens.
Battery operated pencil sharpener.
Scented erasers.
Those pencils that you can tie in knots. I think from Tinc?
Stickers.
Note cards for writing, eg, thank you letters on.
Silver and gold ink pens.

schooltripwoes · 23/11/2018 20:00

The request for a stationAry hamper conjured up thoughts of the possibility of the an alternative hamper with little legs running around the house Grin

bluesky · 23/11/2018 20:03

I really like this website www.kikki-k.com/uk/stationery/

mamaduckbone · 23/11/2018 20:06

I’d like a stationery hamper too please (age 43 and a half)!
Tiger and Paperchase should sort you out for notebooks, pens, sticky notes, etc. Muji do lovely gel pens.

Hersetta427 · 23/11/2018 20:08

Revision cards
Glue dots
Highlighters
Erasable pens
Tipex roll
Plastic wallet envelopes a4 size
Note books a5 and a4
Pencil case
Pack of coloured pencils and pack felt tips
Funky pens (my daughter likes the zebra brand)

The works does some great novelty stationery but basics look in Willis and b&m

Pythonesque · 23/11/2018 20:13

Maybe fit some wheels to the hampers (so that they can't be stationary) and see if they get it :)

No useful suggestions I'm afraid but have fun putting them together!

Wobblington · 24/11/2018 10:09

AliExpress is good for very cheap washi tape, kawaii style sticky notes and pads. But you'll need to order now for it to hopefully come before Xmas. Also look at the journalshop and bureaudirect online - they're UK based stationery stores.

Jetpens on YouTube have videos of unusual Japanese based stationery items - but don't buy from them as they're in the US, but good for ideas too

Charley50 · 24/11/2018 10:24

Great idea. I might do one for my DS. Stapler might be handy too.

Charley50 · 24/11/2018 10:25

And the idea of a hamper just sitting still, doing nothing, going nowhere, tickled me too.. Grin

FamilyOfAliens · 24/11/2018 10:26

bluesky

Those prices! Shock

Skyejuly · 24/11/2018 10:29

Mine asked for pastel highlighters.

RockingMyFiftiesNot · 24/11/2018 10:33

'E for envelope' is the only way I ever remember which one is which!!
TKMaxx usually have lovely classy stationery items at good prices
Have you checked with your DDs exactly what they meant as stationery is very broad and it would be a shame to buy lots if things and miss out what they really wanted

RemusLupinsBiggestGroupie · 24/11/2018 13:33

The pastel highlighters are lovely.

bluesky · 25/11/2018 12:07

FamilyofAliens they usually have a Sale section, and I get some really good bargains then

fruityb · 25/11/2018 12:08

Papermate flair pens
Little note pads
A bullet journal
Washi tape

Lindtnotlint · 25/11/2018 12:12

A cAR is stationARy
A stationER sells stationERy.

Has saved me many a time.

A hamper is a fab idea!

Wait4nothing · 25/11/2018 12:16

Oh washi tape is a great shout.
Shaped paper clips.
I love poppered plastic wallets in nice colours.

I find wilkos, supermarkets and home bargains good for cheap extras!

TellMeItsNotTrue · 25/11/2018 13:12

Page markers are good, you can get cute ones on places like eBay, AliExpress and Blippo, something different and useful for marking pages in books or just leaving tiny notes

Blippo is good for cute stationery in general

LizTaylorsFabulousTurban · 25/11/2018 13:15

Your children are geniuses! Why did I never think of this in my Christmas lists? Do you think it's too late?

DailyMailDontStealMyThread · 25/11/2018 13:20

Paperchase use code web10 for a further discount on sale items.

Smiggle also have some nice bits not just for the younger ones.

PrincessHairyMclary · 25/11/2018 13:26

DD loves calligraphy pens that I picked up in Hobby craft along with a book. It has kept her busy for many long hours. She wants a wax seal and 'old' paper to go with them this year. She's also after an origami set too.

i think a stationery hamper sounds brilliant.

TellMeItsNotTrue · 25/11/2018 13:48

I blame you for my large spend on Blippo now Grin

Oh btw, kawaiilove gives you discount Smile
