If not, can we start one please!

I have 3 DSs, ages 10, 13 & 15. We have a 'bucket' advent calendar and I put something in each day for them. Sometimes it's something edible, sometimes it's a challenge (eg tell a Christmas joke, make a card etc), one will have cinema tickets. Looking for other ideas please! Cheaper the better (the cinema tickets were free from my bank Grin)...

Sing a Christmas carol/song.
Decorate the tree.
Make a gingerbread house (from the kit you have handily waiting in the cupboard!).
Watch a Christmas film together.
Make mince pies, or cupcakes with a Christmas decoration.

We do an advent calendar with an activity every day - some of the ideas we've done in the past/will do this year:

Outdoor carol service
Pick out some Christmas treats (and essentials) and drop them to local food bank
Visit Santa (mine are younger than yours though!)
Make our own Christmas crackers
Wrap a gift(s) for a local charity collection
Make homemade baubles

Thanks, some good ideas! I'd like some stuff to put in on some days too, just a bit stuck for ideas of what... Possibly erasable pens?

Brussel Sprout or pigs in blanket crisps.
Matchmakers. I think they have sone Christmassy flavours this year, like gingerbread.
A Lush bathbomb, or bubble bath/shower gel.
Glow in the dark shoe laces.

Pieces of a jigsaw puzzle (think I got that idea here!) - a few pieces a day to complete bit by bit. I had a 24 piece xmas puzzle when DS was little, then a more complicated 3D one that builds into a tree bauble.

Christmas tree decorations (not new ones necessarily - maybe just the ‘special ones’, if you have any - but can only really do that once tree is up)

Do you have a Flying Tiger anywhere near you? Great source of small cheap toys.
