I'm not entirely sure what these are but I think creative, almost 9 year old, DD would love one.
Has anyone bought any good ones/sets? Used one? Grin I'm a bit clueless.

Got dd the IDO3D pen last year as like you I thought she would love it! Unfortunately it was absolutely rubbish, leaked everywhere and just didn't work properly despite us following the instructions 100%.

We may well of just chosen a bad model so I don't want to discourage you, will be interesting to see what other people have experienced Smile

DD is 7 almost 8 and we’ve ordered her one for Christmas from amazon that has really good reviews. It’s the Aerb Intelligent pen £39.49 plus £11 for additional filaments. Like you DD she’s very creative so fingers crossed she likes it!

I got the IDO3D pen for my two last year aswell and I must say it was a big disappointment. Hope the brands this year are better.

Thanks everyone. That's what I was worried about. It looks so good...but only if it actually works like it should.
I read good things about the 3doodler set but at £40 it'll be a shame if it's rubbish.

What else can I get a nearly £9 year old for around £50? Grin

We got an expensive 3Doodler a couple of years ago for then-13-year-old. Really difficult to use. Waste of money, sadly. This year he wants a full-on 3d printer!

I got the 3Doodler Start for DS when he was 8 - it's great. The plastic sticks are a little pricey to replace, but the results are sturdy and it's dead easy to use. A year on and it still gets used.
