Need to buy a Dolce Gusto as a gift...no worries I thought

There’s fucking loads of them! Which is the best one?! Why are there so many different shapes?! Is it just how they look or are they actually all different?!

Gah!

Help!

(Please!)

I'm not an expert on them by any means (have a Tassimo) but had one of the really tiny ones in a hotel room recently and found it didn't make a very hot drink, so that might be something to be aware of.

That said it was much nicer coffee than the Tassimo!

Following with interest.

minty personally I don’t love the dolce gusto purely because it just isn’t hot enough!

I ended up going for a Tassimo actually as Currys had one for £29.99 with really good reviews but bit worried now you’ve said dolce gusto coffee is better!

My small dolce made hot drinks. I used to stop it halfway through and when the light went green too it up.

I hope I think it depends on how much of a coffee nerd the person using it is

The coffee from the Tassimo is absolutely fine and it's fun to experiment. I was using milk pods which makes it expensive and calorific so I've recently bought a little battery powered milk frother instead and do semi skimmed in the microwave, froth it and add an espresso pod, or a on XL Americano for a travel mug first thing.

Bailey's Latte pods with a Cadburys hot choc mixed in a big mug is lovely.

I'm glad you though the same about the heat...I was looking at them online last night after reading the thread and saw that some of them have temperature adjustment so was wondering if I'd missed something!
