How can I customise a beer advent calendar?

OK I'm cheating a bit as it's actually for DP's 50th birthday but I know this is a busy board with some great present ideas so thought I'd ask here.

Last year I bought DP a beer advent calendar for Xmas and he loved it - enjoyed the variety, enjoyed the tasting experience and said it was a great present.

So now I'm wondering if I could buy one and adapt it for his 50th birthday but I'm wondering how? Should I add things like snacks, small gifts? If so what?

Any ideas much appreciated

If he likes beer you could get a beer Encyclopedia or a similar book. I got DH a “Beer of the world” book, nice to drop in and out to look up facts behind the beers he discovered.

Nice glasses, good snacks, if yiu have a brewery locally check if they do tours or tastings.

How many days does the advent calendar cover?

Snacks: Peanuts, pork scratchings, crisps

A variety of beer mats/coasters

Novelty Bottle opener

Anelco beer shampoo (Superdrug)

Beer glasses

Guiness t-shirt

I'm sure if you searched 'beer gifts' on eBay and Amazon you'd find some ideas

Thanks for the ideas. It would be a 24 day one.

The extras don't have to be beer based by the way, just things to put in with that days beer to make it special.

How about a little note on each door, or inside each door. Maybe describing the beer or the contents? "One for when you're feeling down". "One for giving you energy" "One to remind you how much I love you"
If they're on the outside of each door he can use them to decide which one to open each day, so he doesn't have to use the actual days which makes it less advent calendary?

A special photo in each drawer too?
