My mum's always got cold feel so I was thinking of cashmere socks for Christmas. Anyone got any suggestions of where's best to buy them? Apparently 100% cashmere isnt practical so anyone know what kind of proportions you need? Am happy to spend cash on something quality. TIA Smile

if you want really warm try alpaca wool socks - ebay is your friend- soooo warm!

Cashmere gets holes too easily-dh got me some lovely ones from the white company about 4 years ago & they've been sitting in the to be mended pile for almost 4 years, I'd say alpaca too.

Cashmere is very delicate as well. If you put that in a normal 40c wash, then they are ruined. They are best when they are hand washed!

Falke are my go-to cashmere mix

Mes Chaussettes Rouges are famous for nice socks! I ordered some from there today

I would go for pretty much any natural wool, other than cashmere. It felts if you so much as breathe on it. A bit of nylon content helps to make a sock yarn more hard wearing, but even that wasn't enough for my beloved cashmere blend, only ever handwashed, socks.

I don't know how long they last, but these look lovely and are made in the UK, which is a plus.

I bought a pair of falke wool balance in tk maxx & they're my fave socks. Never knew socks could be so comfy! I've been trying to locate some discount ones obsessively over the last week or so online, but to no avail!

Will look up the last rec though
