Best friend's Christmas challenge - £12 budget

Hi, after a chat about Christmas costs, me and my friend have agreed to a £12 limit for our presents to each other.
Any ideas for a gift within budget for a 40 something woman, with kids, doesn't drink often and often on a diet (so no choccies). I'm looking for something for her specifically, not her family.
Thanks

Boots have some nice smelly stuff for around a tenner.

If it was me I'd like a book and something (preferably chocolate!) or a nice hardback for around a tenner.

Scarves, hats or gloves might fit your budget too.

Sainsbury leather gloves are currently £11.20

Lidl do fantastic moisturiser. About £2/pot. Get some day cream and some night cream and pick up a house plant while you are there.

@smarshian you are spot on there! That's exactly what I would like, a higher quality version of something. I especially love the idea of the cashmere socks. Thanks

@Jackshouse yes, they are a great idea! A bit nicer than their woolen ones, thanks

@angemorange I do love a good hardback. It's finding one that they haven't read already though! Great idea (maybe I'll find one that I haven't read as we swaps books Grin

@frenchfancy I never go to Lidl (not convenient) but I could do a little beauty gift bag of little beauty treats. Thanks

@pebblesandfriends Will have a browse of the debenhams website ... I suppose I should take advantage of the black friday deals so get more for my budget

M&S have got a range of handbag size perfumes from £5 to £8:50.

Also have a look at their section of "Gifts for under £20" which has got all sorts of bits and bobs to choose from, starting at £4. They've got a 3 for 2 offer on some of it too. I like the pack of notebooks and the box of peony shaped soaps......
