Vegan beauty products

Please can any vegans tell me about their recommended beauty products? I want to make a beauty themed hamper for my vegan DD and have no clue where to start. I know she will love this and doesn't have much money to buy such things so I really want to get it right for her.
Thank you so much for any help - I see that Superdrug/Boots have a filter for ascertaining the vegan products but I have no idea what DD would like. I definitely want to include hair products and make up if that helps.

You want to go onto a website called www.cruelfreekitty.com. The have an up to date list of all the companies that test/do nnitnteat on animals and they will let you know if a product is vegan.

China is a massive issue - they require mandatary animal testing to sell there, so even a company doesn't test here, they will have to test to get into China which people like me and your daughter would have a problem with.

A good range is Sperdrugs B range. Vegan, good product and excellent value and usually on some special offer. It's more scientific 'beauty' than wholegrain wholesome, so I would be delighted to get a basket of those products.

I buy all mine from Baba me.com they do cruelty free and vegan make up, toiletries and hair stuff and even have a vegan gifts section for ideas

Body shop say they have vegan products but I think the China issue mentioned by a pp may be a sticking point. I think you’re okay with Lush, but it’s quite expensive.

No cosmetics (or household cleaning products) sold in the UK are allowed to have been tested on animals, here or anywhere else in the world. Obviously that doesn't mean they are vegan, just that they've not been tested - you'd have to check the ingredients to see if they were vegan. Many vegan products will be marked vegan on the labels.

I saw this brand in boots today and thought of this thread, it's all vegan friendly and has lovely packaging here
