My ceilings measure 7ft 8 (236cm) I was hoping to get the tallest tree possible. Am I being silly thinking I may get away with a 7fter? Obviously I'm aware of the stand and space for a topper but have I got room? Picturing a very slight National Lampoons disaster.... Grin

Mines arrived! Will unpack and put it up tomorrow, excited!!!

Only problem I've encountered was that I missed delivery so the parcel was left at my local UPS collection point. Fine other than it weighs a tonne and there was no option other than to park 1/4 mile away Shock Good job I took my 13 year old DS with me 💪🏻Grin

I missed my delivery this morning but they're coming back. Hopefully tomorrow!

Just put ours up. Think we should have gone bigger but the quality is great and love the little gloves and other touches that come with it. The lights are just beautiful.

DeepIn40 · 30/11/2018 21:17

Bigger Shock, didn't you go 8ft? Full or narrow?

My room is quite big (25ft x15ft) but the wall, window and door configuration reduces the space available.

I measured up the 'full' version but it seemed massive- hope I haven't made mistake Confused

SippingSipsmith · 01/12/2018 07:02

I've got really high ceilings at home - about 12ft but went for an 8ft because was worried about it being too full at the bottom. Now it's in place I could have gone bigger. Always making scale mistakes with this house! Should have known better! It looks beautiful. I'm sure when it's decorated and presents around it it'll look right size.

SippingSipsmith · 01/12/2018 07:04

It's a full one. Just double checked.

We have a Vermont White Spruce, bought 6 years ago, still looks amazing

Bipbopbee · 01/12/2018 10:57

sipsmith that looks amazing! Looks like a good size for your bay window Smile

Toomanybaubles · 01/12/2018 11:59

I am rubbish at judging size. My snug is probably 10ft x 12ft plus a 3ft deep bay window, 10ft high ceilings. I bought a small balsam hill tree for it this year, when I say small I mean small, and a bit different.

This in a 4ft lit version. it is on an old wooden box.

It looks puny, like a twig

DeepIn40 · 01/12/2018 21:07

Ok, mines up and it's lovely! I will post a picture once I can take one in daylight as the ones I currently have are just full of lights.

Now, next question JW to you dress your stand? I have a lovely tree skirt but it doesn't go with this tree (and was a bit more fun for my DC who have now grown up Sad).

My house is modern and ultra contemporary what should I go for?

Bipbopbee · 01/12/2018 21:16

Deep we have a log burner so I use cut logs to cover the base of the tree

DeepIn40 · 02/12/2018 07:50

@Bipbopbee

That's a great idea! Would look silly in my house though due to it being ultra contemporary.

Bipbopbee · 02/12/2018 10:19

Here’s mine!

I just use a piece of fabric to cover the bottom of the tree, a piece of red velvet for one and Christmas craft fabric for another.

Mine have just arrived. Its going to take all my will power not to down tools for the day and put them up...
