Christmas books

Has anyone got any suggestions for Christmas chapter books for a 7 year old? I have a Terry Prachett one for DS1 (10) but will need something that will take a few nights to read for DS2. Ideally one for him to read (rather than me to him).

Flat Stanley and Horrid Henry both have Christmas editions.
Despite the name, 'I Killed Father Christmas' is a very good book for this age. A 7yo boy would also enjoy Christmas According to Humphrey but my favourite is The Dog Who Saved Christmas.

Hmm, the ones that spring to mind for me could be more for older kids, or for you to read to him (although I know you said they were for him to read himself). 101 Dalmatians is set in winter/at Christmas. What about The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe? Children of Green Knowe? The Box of Delights? These are all old/classics so not sure if he's into this type of thing, and the language might be tricky for a 7yo - hard to know.

My DS (8) loves the King Flashypants books - they're chapter books but with lots of illustrations - I know there's a new one called the Snowball of Doom or something - we haven't read it yet but it sounds potentially Christmassy!! Will have a bit more of a think - I feel like I'm missing something really obvious!...
