Playmobil

My 5 year old ds got a Playmobil car last Christmas and has barely played with it. However he is asking for Playmobil this Christmas and says he doesn't play with the car because there aren't enough people- he wants something with lots of people (he does like playing with toy people- still plays with his Happyland figures sometimes). Does anybody have any ideas about which set comes with the maximum possible figures and is also not hugely expensive so it's not a massive waste of money if he doesn't play with it either. Thanks.

when DD was in her Playmobil phase we got lots of figures from eBay. In order to really play with it you need a decent set up and Playmobil is good second hand.

DD wasn’t fussed that it didn’t come in a proper box. She was glad having now an army of knights to defend the princesses from the pirates.

The camper van is a brilliant starter set. It comes with 4 people and a lot of different bits and pieces. The swimming pool is also good.

We got a lot of our playmobil on eBay.

My DS loves the coach. It comes with a coach driver, 3 passengers and their luggage and also a wee road sign.

They do playmobil figures on their own now, much like the Lego mini figures, if you want a variety of interesting characters. Otherwise we've found the city and knights sets tend to have quite a few characters.
