My lovely daughter in law will be 6 months pregnant by Christmas. Is there something I could get her that you found really helpful/soothing/useful in your third trimester, please?

How lovely! Could you book her and your son a baby moon?(mini break before baby comes)

What’s your budget? I don’t have the full set but have one or two pieces from here - I especially like the skin elasticizer.

Baby is due imminently so have yet to use the spritz your bits spray which is the other item that I have.

One of those amazing pillows that goes between your legs when you sleep.

Maternity tops.

Nice bath things.

A 4d scan if she's in to that kind of thing.

Spa day.

I'm 4 weeks PP and would've loved all of these!

I had two pregnancy massages with my last and they were laaaaavely...

She won’t be able to her feet in the 3rd trimester so a pedicure or gel toes if she’s into that sort of thing.

Vouchers for maternity wear. A massage or beauty treatment voucher. A photo/scan paid for. Some minty footcream or footspray (I always had hot itchy feet in pregnancy). A bump support pillow. Or a v shaped pillow that can be used for resting and also for BFing after birth. New small overnight bag. A reusable drinks flask for hot or cold Drinks.

@LouLou789 You sound absolutely lovely and I wish you were my MIL. Your DIL is very lucky indeed.

LouLou789 · 17/11/2018 22:03

Thank you, Cocobana! We are both very lucky, we’ve made a massive effort with each other as we were determined to have a close relationship. She has her own (wonderful) mum and I wouldn’t intrude on that but what’s the point in being anything but loving and supportive? I hear so many awful stories!

Aww well you sound very supportive. Nice to see a thread like this one. Your DIL I’m sure I’ll be happy with whatever you get. I know I would have been.

My mum brought be a hairdressing appointment after birth which was greatly appreciated. What about pay for baby massage classes so she can meet other mums. Or a now tv voucher for when she's resting up. Although most of these are after birth!
