Alternative Christmas decs

We have decided to decorate between Christmas and New Year - so won't be putting up decs as we'd just spend Boxing Day putting them all away! What would you do to make your house look Christmassy if you couldn't put up your decorations??

I’d probably still put them up - just do it quiet early in December so that I could have a few weeks of enjoying them before they can down in Boxing Day. If you really don’t want to put them up could you still have some ornaments inside but in different rooms to where you are decorating ie in the kitchen or hall rather than the living room? Failing that could you put lots of lights on the outside of your house?

Draping your fairy lights around rather than on the tree.

Window clings or paper snowflakes (may not interfere so much with the DIY decorating, as opposed to Christmas decorating?)

Wreath on front door

Cards sitting on the mantelpiece

Lots of candles lighting

Change a couple of cushion covers to Christmas ones? Or a patterned fleece throw or even just red blanket on the couch for cosiness and a bit of festive cheer?
