Lol dolls - help!

My 6yo daughter loves Lol dolls...mainly from playing with her friends’ dolls. I really don’t understand their appeal. We got her a pearl surprise thing for her birthday which I thought was a massive rip-off but she was delighted and now she would love more Lols for Christmas. What do I get her...what are the top Lol presents this year? A quick google and I’m totally overwhelmed by the different options! I think she wants some pet thing. If you have a daughter who loves Lols, what specific thing do they want? We links and ‘buy her this’ messages would be hugely appreciated...it all looks like tat to me!

DD 7,5 is obsessed too, has been for a year. Yes it's overpriced tat but it does get played with! She builds 'little worlds' with the 5-6 dolls she has with random dolls house furniture.
I only get her the ones that contain actual figurines/dolls, not the games, accessories etc.
Oh, and a cheap & cheerful backpack from Sainsburys in the summer.

She's getting this for Christmas, I had no idea what it was but she specifically asked for it:

Here's a pet one, out of stock at the moment but Smyths tend to restock quite often in my experience:

Op does your daughter have a preference of baby dolls or animals? I only ask because there are both to collect. The biggie pets look like fun if you wanted a large 'main' type of gift. If you get several smaller LOL dolls you at least won't risk having duplicates :) so an eye spy capsule, an LOL pet and an LOL lil sister perhaps?

TimeForMy10thCuppa · 14/11/2018 00:56

DD is only 4.5 but loves them and has done for a year.
She is currently collecting the glam glitter ( metallic pink ones. ) And the under wraps ( capsule looking one. It's like the normal ones but takes twice as long to get into because they have locks on them you have to unlock to get the bits. )
She has asked for the bigger surprise, which I think is a rip off at full price because you can get the dolls cheaper on their own. But with the bigger surprise you get a family. I'm hoping to get one in Asda tomorrow.
DD isn't bothered by the pets, or the little sisters.
If your DD likes the dolls I would go for either the capsule ones or the glam glitter. With maybe a one pet and one little sister. Or see if you can get a bigger surprise, in Asda for £45, then you get the pet, big sis and little sis plus whatever else crap is in it.

I shock myself at the amount I can write about lol dolls.

I bought my daughter just one of each (glitter, little sister, pet, underwraps).

It's the LOL underwraps that she loves the most- I think because it comes with a lot of features- eye spy, capsule, mummy wrap, doll, codes etc). So I suggest getting an LOL underwraps as it's more bang for the buck

WishfulSprouts · 14/11/2018 02:57

My dd has asked for the house but she got a huge non-lol dolls house last Xmas so don’t want to buy the same again. I’m planning on getting lots of lol gifts- dolls, fizz factory, lol pencil sets, dress, bed sets and fashioning a gift lol gift as a ‘big present’ if that makes sense like a big lol ‘gift set’.

Jasharps · 14/11/2018 07:01

Underwraps or Glam Glitter ones here for my 3 DDs

Newtothis2017 · 14/11/2018 14:43

Argos 3 for 2 us good for these. Get the undewraps lol, a lol pet and a glitter series. All the other stuff is a complete waste. Buy the dolls themselves. Also the lol annual is good

nocutsnobuttsnococonuts · 14/11/2018 16:19

I've bought my dd one if each type - confetti pop, glam glitter, under wraps, pets And little sister. Then a decorate your own dolls house from hobby craft (£8.50) and a load of glitter pens, stick on gems, lol stickers. Should keep her busy for hours on the day!!!

She only has one little sister so far but loves it and is desperate for more.

Also seem and debating buying top trumps, the annual and a game in the entertainer toy shop. They had loads of bits on sale in there.

Valasca · 14/11/2018 16:37

The under wraps ones are best. Still complete crap. Have her do her own “video” and film her opening them up as that’s the best part. Mine loves rewatching herself unraveling them. Each accessory comes in a little compartment within this plastic pill box thing and you have to figure out a 3 symbol code to unlock each section.

CoffeeChocolateWine · 14/11/2018 23:32

This is great, thanks so much. I think I will get one of the under wraps things and maybe a pet for her stocking. The annual is a good call too.

Coffee, if you can get to B&M , the LOL stickers cost £1

Tesco is also selling LOL bath shower gel for £3 (half price)

adagio · 15/11/2018 05:37

Genius idea Valasca I’m nicking that one! We have an lol mad Christmas coming here too. I have an almost 6y old and a 2.5 yr old and they are both lol mad (the little one plays with them for hours). The reuse of a you tube style video will go on for months 😂

Sadly for my pocket, it means I’ve had to buy 2 of everything or there will be carnage. I’ve gone for glitter, lil sister and under wraps, plus sqwishy balls from the works, and will probably get pj’s or onsies too.

WishfulSprouts · 15/11/2018 12:29

Home bargains have a few lol bits in puzzles, books etc cheaper than smyths and Argos.
