Snap circuits

I can’t find my old post. I’m thinking of snap circuits for my 6 year old. Don’t know much about them or if he will like them. Can anyone recommend a particular one/brand not too expensive in case he’s not interested? Thanks

We got a SnapCircuits set for ds when he was about 8 (I think). He loved it and it still gets used regularly 3 years later.

Take a look on eBay for a pre owned biggish set. I paid £5 last week for a small set for my nephew.

I managed to buy a john Adams set which was originally £50ish in a charity shop for £12 last year, was well chuffed with that!

Ds got snap circuits past year when he was 6yo and has loved them. It's a set by Elenco and the recommended age is 8+ but ds, now 7yo, can do some independently now and only needed a little help before that.

Mine have the John Adams one. It's really good and easy to follow the booklet that comes with it. Mine have had theirs for about 3 years now and still get it out to play with, they are 8 and 11 now. The parts are quite strong too, it doesn't feel like it would break easily.

Thank you. I’ll have a google.

My children love them. We have a hotwires and a Snap circuits one and they are interchangeable. Definitely recommend.
