The offer is on right now to swap your points for vouchers and then you can shop from monday to Sat I think.
I am getting DS some winter essentials and then using the rest to get some xmas bits. Rubox cube, board game, stocking bits etc. We have £60 to spend which doesn't go as far as it sounds!
Anyone else doing it?

We have £180 worth of points. I think we will get booze and if there is some Lego.

AnnoyedByAlfieBear · 09/11/2018 17:09

I do it every year. I'll probably mostly get clothes and home wear stuff that I usually don't like spending my money on. Or maybe an Alexa.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/11/2018 17:12

£180! wow! We have one up the road but haven't shopped there much this year. Maybe next year I will. It is helpful to get those few bits for "free".

Not lots of points, but I always treat DH to the Extra Special (?) port with the double up.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/11/2018 19:57

We've accumulated about £250 in points this year. I've already spent a load of my Christmas baking ingredients and other Christmas requirements. I've swapped £30 of points to buy booze with, which I do every year. Some will be teacher gifts and the rest for us!

AllDriedOut · 09/11/2018 20:06

How do you double them up? I've gone on to nectar.com but can't se how.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/11/2018 20:15

You can't do it online now. Go into a branch and go to the customer service desk. They'll do it for you.

Lavenderhues · 09/11/2018 21:15

Will there be another one before Xmas does anyone know? Or is this it? X

Meet0nTheIedge · 09/11/2018 21:24

This is it, they only do it at the most twice a year. I've been doing it for several years and have replaced most of my small kitchen stuff, lots of clothes, bedding, books, toys, CDs and DVDs, wine. However looking round this year I'm not sure. We don't really buy CDs and DVDs any more, the DCs are too old for toys and clothes (they have very little in teen sizes), I don't need much if any kitchen stuff or bedding.

thesnailandthewhale · 09/11/2018 22:02

I usually spend mine on xbox / ps games, stick them on ebay then treat myself to something I really want from another shop with the money from selling the games.

starlingsintheslipstream · 09/11/2018 22:10

Am I right in thinking it's a higher limit this year? Previously you could only exchange something like £20 per department. If so, I was hoping to put our £85 towards a Nintendo switch.

NoWordForFluffy · 09/11/2018 22:28

Yeah, you can transfer, I think, £100 of points into £200. And it's to spend in any dept.

Oh it's great that they've made it a bit easier. Ever single year I ask the desk which category the item I want to buy is in, they tell me, i get the voucher and then when I get to the till it's the wrong category... every single year.

Having said that, we have no toys etc to buy, it's getting really hard to get anything for anyone any more so not entirely sure what I am going to spend mine on this time.

starlingsintheslipstream · 10/11/2018 00:09

Perfect, thanks!

NoWordForFluffy · 10/11/2018 12:47

Here's the list of what you can buy.

WaxOnFeckOff · 10/11/2018 13:56

Fluffy I think that's the Australian list :o

NoWordForFluffy · 10/11/2018 14:17

It wasn't that way up when I took it! Xmas Grin

hidinginthenightgarden · 11/11/2018 19:50

I went yesterday to check what they had in off my list and not much was there! I hope they restock before tomorrow!

NoWordForFluffy · 11/11/2018 19:57

I'm just after booze! I hope they have the ones I want, else I'll cry be rather upset!

I've got myself a list going, but will just browse while I'm there in case I've missed anything online.

I think I'm going on Friday, but might go Weds evening if I can squeeze it in after the kids are in bed (ours closes at 8).

BarbaraofSevillle · 12/11/2018 11:26

I have 4000 points which I am going to use to buy TTD fizz of whatever variety they have in the shop when I go tonight. Hoping for a bottle of English sparkling wine and the rest in cava or prosecco.

NoWordForFluffy · 12/11/2018 11:42

Quite a few TTD wines are on offer at the moment, which makes it even better value.

Hedgyhoggy · 12/11/2018 12:13

Those who have £100 plus points, am I missing a trick? Do you accumulate those just through the weekly shop?

NoWordForFluffy · 12/11/2018 12:16

Mine are weekly shop, life and home insurance, plus the points offers I get sent / find. Oh, and eBay / other shopping.

Meet0nTheIedge · 12/11/2018 12:17

I have a Nectar credit card, which accumulates points wherever you use it, I also buy my petrol at Sainsburys more often than not, so mine are from more than just a standard weekly shop.
