I'm looking at either the Kurio or the Kiddizoom smartwatch for 6 yo DS. Does anyone have any experience of either of these, which if any would you recommend?
Thanks

I’m also looking at these 2 watches for my soon to be 6yo DS, did you make a call @Acunningruse or can anyone else add any insight to these watches please? I wonder if he will grow out of the kidizoom one quickly, but then the kurio one might be too advanced, he’s not hugely tech savvy. We have th kidizoom camera that he plays with intermittently.

I haven't unfortunately, I'm still considering, I was hoping one would be drastically reduced on Black Friday which would make the decision for me but I didn't see any reductions on them.
Have you decided since you posted?

My dd got the kiddizoom when she was 4.5 and still plays with it now 2 years later. It's been a really great gift. Easy to use, battery lasts ages and it's robust.

She doesn't use it as a watch but plays the games, takes photos, makes little videos etc. Also uses the step counter if we go on walks - that's actually been ideal to prevent boredom/moaning 'ooo, how many steps have we done now?' And so on!

I'd highly recommend the Kiddizoom. I think the up to date version is probably better now than our one. I'm afraid I've never heard of the other watch you mentioned.

Thank you slyoldfox that sounds good re the kiddizoom. I haven’t chosen one yet but I think I will go for the kiddizoom, it’s £36 on Amazon so a decent price, and if he does grow out of it in a year or so then I’ve got younger DC it can be passed on to. The Kurio just looks a bit advanced for us at the mo, if I was looking when he was 6-12 months older I’d probably opt for the Kurio.
