Short break between Christmas and New Year

Hi,

Does anyone have any suggestions for somewhere to go between Christmas and New Year?

We have a 3 year old and a 6 year old and would like to get away, maybe near the coast for a few days.

We won’t have much money after paying for Christmas so does anywhere have deals around this time? We are going to a relative’s in Oxford for New Year so we don’t want to be too far away from there.

what sort of budget do you have? here are a few suggestions:

cottage in cornwall

hotel near the waveney river, norfolk broads

Both those look great but Cornwall is a bit too far from Oxford. Max budget is about £200 for 2 nights.

how far away are you willing to be? most places near the coast will be a 2hr drive

Up to 3 hours is fine.
