Toddler proof table centrepiece

Is there such a thing?!

It's my first year hosting, we have a lovely ikea white dining table, and is like to be a proper grown up and have some decorations on the table for Christmas dinner. However, I also have a very curious 2 year old!

Anyone have any ideas how I could do it? I'm thinking perhaps led lights, or some kind of garland?

I found that if the dc helped to make the centre piece with me, it wasn’t as interesting to them. When they were little we used a wooden salad bowl with an led pillar candle, pine cones, and orange slices and sprigs of pine. It got arranged and rearranged a fair bit but was left alone on Christmas Day.
