Dh and my parents keep asking and as per I have no idea. I'm 30 btw. Similar story, he has no idea what he wants either. We're both useless. We've done trips away, theatre etc instead of gifts in the past but with two kids it's harder now.

Boring as hell but I need a tumble dryer and would like to do our en-suite but I've been told they're not Xmas gifts. I'd like a few bits to open and am just clueless.

I’m in my 30’s and I would like:

Spa treatment vouchers
Nice costume jewellery
Socks
Gift card for clothes
Nice bath stuff (joe malone, l’occitane etc...)

I will probably get another scarf, more slippers and clothing that I don’t like.

Soiree · 04/11/2018 18:48

I'd like a chillys bottle, candles, perfume, gins, books, crafty things, nice nail varnish, earrings and a mulberry bag but that's not happening!

Pengweng · 04/11/2018 18:50

A new mixer
Some proper wool boot socks to keep me warm at work

New windows as our double glazing is old and crappy and it's cold!
New carpet in the bedroom.
A holiday with just DH so we could do grown up sightseeing instead of stopping every 30 mins as someone needs a wee/drink/snack/carried etc Grin

I'm 34 but i don't really need anything i would just like things to be a bit nicer in my house where i spend most of my time as we are too skint to so anything

bogiesaremyonlyfriend · 04/11/2018 20:51

This year I really fancy a decent pillow! Maybe alpaca wool or something.

Atalune · 04/11/2018 20:53

Cashmere socks

Leather/canvas back pack

I'm nearly 30 and this year have decided I finally need to sort my skincare regime out so going to get a whole new skincare set.

Otherwise I'm a bit like you, I want my loft boarded but apparently this isn't a present. Sad

JellycatElfie · 09/11/2018 10:55

I’m 30 and due a baby in 2 weeks. That’s impacted upon what I want a lot but..

Pjs - and new dressing gown and slippers and socks!
I’d love a meal out or even a night in a hotel
A massage

Dontbestupidagain · 09/11/2018 11:08

Some cashmere hand warmers

Halloweenallyearround · 09/11/2018 12:17

I asked my dp for a hover and he laughed because he was thinking the same.
Otherwise it's little things,
Last year he got a family picture frame and bad girls boxset! We actually watched it all together and it was the best gift.

hidinginthenightgarden · 09/11/2018 12:23

Some nice pens, some books. Maybe a puzzle.

Voodoobizkits · 09/11/2018 12:28

Tadda · 09/11/2018 12:36

DD2 is due around Christmas Day (awaiting date confirmation with obstetrician on 28th Nov for C-section - some complications so been told will have to spend 5 days approx after in hospital) - DD1 is 14 months and I really want to be home on X-mas day!

Just want DD2 here happy, healthy and safe and HOME with family for Xmas (if the elves are listening....X)

TeeBee · 09/11/2018 13:52

I honestly want nothing. We have been having work done on the house and I have been doing so much clearing out. We have too much stuff. I really, really don't want any more. If I need or want something, I'll buy it.

speakingtruthfully · 10/11/2018 16:28

To be left alone sitting in the sun with a good book and absolutely no mention of Christmas !

defensivejingling · 10/11/2018 16:32

I'd like a pyjama set, some dangly earrings, and a book. I hope somebody asks or I'll have to start dropping hints

JupiterDrops · 10/11/2018 16:41

I'm the same age. I normally pick skincare for my presents (me and DH go away as a present to ourselves and just do a secret santa with families where everyone submits a gift list, no surprises but everyone gets what they want!)

Wormwoodm · 11/11/2018 14:25

I find this really difficult as I have a very different view on gift buying to my parents. I think gifts should feel like a bit of a treat and buy nice versions of things people already like. They like to turn up with huge piles they've bought cheap so it looks like a lot more. The reality is we don’t have the space for a load of unwanted things. I have three young children so would love a hair cut, some new perfume, make up, candles or bath stuff. Things I’ve run out of but never buy as something else always comes up!
I also love books but have a kindle. In the past I’ve asked for vouchers for kindle or a department store but they don’t like doing that as they feel it’s not very personal. I can’t ask for the brands of things I use as it’s more than they would spend. They have a lot of money, they just don’t like buying expensive gifts. They’ve just asked what I’d like and I have no idea what to say! My husband they have bought a few beers for so he’s sorted. They’re coming for Christmas too so hoping I get inspired soon. Any suggestions?

Stefoscope · 11/11/2018 23:35
