Matalan Matching Pyjamas

If you're here to tell me matching pyjamas are naff save your breath as I'm convinced they are absolutely fantastic. The dear Santa men's pyjamas are sold out at Matalan so I signed up for email notifications for when they come back in stock. Already have a pair for me and DD. They sent an email notification when I was studying late last night that popped up on my screen and I went to buy them 8 whole minutes after getting the email and they were already sold out! The little thing on the screen said 100+ people have bought these in the last hour and 100+ people are looking at these right now. Never realised how popular they would be, I'm going to have to watch like a hawk for email notifications now. Anybody else struggling to get a pair? Have tried in store as well but they said they haven't been able to get any of the men's ones in stock as they sell out online. They have the kids, baby's and women's ones in stock just fine. DP thinks they're fantastic so has also signed up for email notifications. Don't understand why they don't make more of the men's set as it is clearly very popular and somebody told me some of the proceeds go to charity. Feel like I'm in a bidding war for that supreme brand, I thought it would just be me and a few other weirdos. Turns out there's a lot of us.

On a similar, but slightly different, note, I ended up buying all of us boys' / men's Hey Duggee pyjamas as they'd sold out of medium in women's (which you'd think would be known as a popular size as it was 12-14; though the sizes were bloody awkward at 8-10 and 12-14 when I'm a 10-12, but that's a whole other argument!).

You'd think they'd be able to establish popularity and stock accordingly, wouldn't you?

I was shopping about 8 hours after they were announced. Mad to go out of stock so quickly. Clearly loads of HD fans around! 😂

Lol we love Hey Dugee at our house but think we would be mocked by in laws as we're spending Christmas at theirs. They do have Peppa Pig pyjamas in stock but I detest the show - think she's a bit of a brat so always change the channel as can't bare to watch it.

We don't watch it for the same reason! She's annoying.

You've got me thinking I could probably buy the women's pyjamas in a big size for DP as it's not like they're fitted but it might be a bit weird as they say for Christmas I would like sleep in, hot bath, chocolate, and wine which isn't really his cup of tea.

It's a difficult one, isn't it? Bloody shops and their daft stock issues!

merlotmummy14 · 03/11/2018 10:00

Got them! Got an email notification just there and managed to snatch a pair quick. It's a little bizarre they managed to restock the morning after, they must have only put half the stock available online last night or perhaps their MN ears were burning. Have never typed in my debit details so quickly. Click and collect between 7th and 9th November. I'm going to put them all in a gift basket to open on christmas eve with some nice overpriced M&S biccys, hot chocolate, bottle of Bailey's to go in the adult's hot chocolate and a Christmas dvd (thinking maybe Elf or Polar Express?).

Sounds good!

And well done. Xmas Grin
