Hello wise mumsnetters

This year i am determined to buy edible (or perhaps drinkable) gifts/treats for family members, trying to avoid wasting money on things people don’t want etc....

Any recommendations for good shops/websites please? I buy for a variety of (adult) family members - DB & GF, grandad, uncle and aunt, DM etc! Probably c£20 per gift is the budget.

Thanks!

www.cocoaloco.co.uk/

They do a gift box of brownies and hot choc I sent to a family last year that were a nice hit.

it's a good call - I'd rather get a lovely bottle of wine, or some lovely chocolate than something I don't need, there are lots of niche chocolate manufacturers out there - John Lewis also has lots of great chocolate in this time of year.

Also, surprisingly, Ottolenghi has jams, fancy spices you could look into if you've got any serious or non serious! foodies in the family:

Naked marshmallows? (I want some for myself)

I’m making a couple movie hampers with posh popcorn, marshmallows and a DVD.

Also trying to cut down on buying plastic tat this year.

Will be buying a few cases of wine for a few people too.

Popaball have some nice Gingle Globes which I’ve bookmarked for those I buy token gifts for.
