I'm buying the Boots Advent Calendar..... and taking everything out and dividing it between my DDs for their stockings... £42 for one advent calendar is expensive but divide 24 presents by 3 and you get a lot of goodies for girlies

@TwitterQueen1

Genius!

TwitterQueen1 · 19/10/2018 16:39

I've just collected it and opened all the doors - it's great! Really good value, lots of fab stuff the DDs (and I) will make good use of. Stockings sorted!

ajandjjmum · 19/10/2018 17:02

What's in in Twitter - be wondering whether to get it for DD?

NorthernRunner · 19/10/2018 19:27

That’s a phenomenal idea 💡 Twitter, my dd is only 3.5 though. I will do that when she is older though as she has cousins of a similar age!
I was in my local Sainsbury’s and they had Lego ages 4-6 on reduce to clear. They have different themed ones so I picked up a pack for £2.50!!!

Bath crayons, bath foam, novelty bubble bath, character expanding flannel, chocolate Santa, mini colouring book and crayons, small ball, small Christmas themed soft toy, christmas playmobil set, blind bag of character your daughter likes, glow stick...

hidinginthenightgarden · 20/10/2018 07:33

My DD is 3 and will be getting some peppa pig figures, hair clips, crayons and chocolate.

DS will be getting an energy stick, chocolate and …….not sure what else.

Both will get a keyring with the first letter of their name on as DS asked for one for his swimming bag.

janaus · 20/10/2018 10:48

Also looking for stocking ideas for my 3 adult children and their partners. Main present will be boring cash or vouchers. So looking for practical and fun ideas to fill a stocking. 3 male, 3 female

MumGoneCrazy · 20/10/2018 14:29

My DD's are obsessed with bath bombs at the moment especially the ones with toys or surprises in so they'll have a couple of them plus some nail varnish, make up, hair accessories, Xmas earrings and usual chocolate coins

Christmasplanner · 20/10/2018 19:12

My teen DD always has new hairbrush, some chocolate/sweets, sheet face masks, body sprays, bath bombs, pens/stationery and some novelty but wearable socks. All stuff she'll like but all useful.

I had never thought of doing that before ....brilliant idea!

ZoSanDesu · 25/10/2018 07:11

My boys are getting things like carabena clips, padlocks and key, a little golden eyeglass for looking at bugs, story and music cds, a nice book each, and a lovely jumper. They also get one "big" present from Santa which is always second hand. DS5 will get a Quadrilla marble run (£30 off gumtree, £130 new!!! Sorry- happy about my bargain!!) and secondhand imaginext for DS2. Total is £50 each.

As a place to start, I go with the mantra: something they want, something they need, something to wear and something to read.

NorthernRunner · 25/10/2018 08:53

Amazing mantra zosan

For dds main present she is getting a mid sleeper bed with tent underneath, I feel a bit mean buying a 4yr old a bed but she needs one.
It’s also why I wanted to make her stocking super exciting for her x
