They are doing a combi of High Street vouchers and Your Choice (minus the usual 10% fee) which initially I thought was great as you can spend them anywhere that accept MasterCard. However the split is stingy. For instance the £600 option is £475 high street/£125 Your Choice.

There is zero point in Park. If you save for 12 months with for example nationwide you would get 5%.

I already have savings. This helps me save just for Christmas. Gutted they are stopping Amazon vouchers but they seemed to be distancing from them anyway.

I used to do Park, but I save with Credit Union instead now, much better.

I can't save as can't get a bank account other than basic one. Been with Park for 15 years. Plenty of point for me.

People that say no point in park, find it easier to save. It’s very hard to save and not dip into it when you’re barely affording the essentials. At least with park I can’t spend it. There’s no way I could save money for Xmas otherwise. I can’t even afford to save in case my appliances break or something.

Very true IMust. I'm trying to find out if I'm entitled to open a Credit Union account as an alternative to Park. As you can't just dip in to it. However if not at least I have this way of saving.

Agree with Imust. This is why we use Park.

I always get a love to shop card and use it for the kids presents. There’s always stuff I can find for them in the various shops.

Just thought on after what Fairy said. I might still save a token amount as love the £10 points for £50 spend at Boots. They always give you a bit extra for using L2S vouchers.

I used Park for Amazon and Love2shop vouchers last year, and a Your Choice care this year.

I struggle to save anywhere that I can access easily. The beauty of Park for me is I save gradually over the year and I can’t touch it. I only do quite small amounts (£200 this year, less last year) as I don’t have kids to buy for. So the amount of interest id earn is pretty negligible and imo the cost of the Your Choice card is reasonable as it’s worth it to me for that amount. Other people may disagree and that’s their choice.

Terfzilla · 20/10/2018 14:09

I like park because there's no temptation to 'dip in'

When you live week to week and there's a school trip or a kid needs new shoes it's too easy to take a few quid from savings. Even harder to put it back.

Post office do a Christmas saving account you can’t withdraw the money until November.
