What on earth to get 9 year old stepson !! HELLPPP

So I am trying to get all xmas shopping boxed off as I am pregnant and don't want to be stressing about it closer to xmas.
Budget is approx. £150 - he is 9 and only into football and his PS4 and we literally cannot think of anything to get him !!!
Any ideas for a main present? Anything cool out at the moment that all the kids want?
When asked he said he wants money to spend on fortnite - which is just not happening, so there isn't even anything he wants himself!

What about tickets for a gig? Take him to do something like Go Ape or Go Karting and give the gift as a voucher. At this age it's definitely less about toys, so we go for experience. I'm loathe to spend on computer games.

He has fifa 19 already and his mum is getting him a new kit. She struggling too! Last year we split cost of new PS4 between us (us and his mum) so was much easier haha.

We got him table football last year but he doesn't bother. And an elec scooter which hasn't been touched.

It's hard to get out of the mindset of him having things to open, as we're basically doing it for us so he has presents to open Xmas day.

Hope this doesn't also happen with girls st the same age haha

Ohcomeon- we have the same senario 9 year old dss and 4 year old son. 9 year old is so hard to buy for last year we wasted so much money in stuff that's under his bed collecting dust!
We are thinking a new bike so he can bike between our houses which isn't too far.
Other then that it will be tracksuit , a game , football boots and a kit I'd say .
They get so much as my family buys for him and his step dad's side as well his mum and Dad's side he ends up getting duplicates!he got 3 of the same Lego sets one year 😂 xxx

That is our problem too haha- my parents are getting him a bike, DHs parents get him a big present then he's got grandparents on mums side too!

Id agree with something ps4 related if u want him to like it and at least u know u wouldnt be wasting your money then id get a few other bits with money thats left over like a ruck sack , tshirt,fluffy blanket,hair care items (boys seem to be so into hair more than the girls)x

How about laser tag guns and vests? Not just a bit of fun for him but the bigger kids too ;) hehe.

most boys I know between 5-10 seem to be all about those nerf foam dart pew pew things.

Just throwing it in to double check the age rating at go ape before you buy tickets - the nearest ones to us have the minimum age of 10.

Would he enjoy a raspberry pi? My dd got one last Xmas and it’s amazing what shes done with it, she loves it.

My 9 almost 10 year old wants a Fitbit for Christmas. A good amount of the kids in his year and at the school I work at seem to have them.

Look at pop figures ( forbidden planet) they do a wide range inc fortnite figures now

We have the same problem in that my dss 11 only ever asks for PS4 games but we can’t afford many of those and he needs something else to open! He does quite like board games that he can play with us so last year we got home Cluedo and an electronic version of battleship which he liked. We also got him some Walkie talkies which he enjoyed using with dd 5.
