misspumpkinhead · 15/10/2018 19:02

I need help finding some cheap stocking fillers for:

DD14 (almost 15) (Y10)
DS12 (Y8)
DD10 (Y6)
DS8 (Y3)

Really struggling with ideas for stocking fillers and presents this year so any help would be great

Budget is £150 per child which includes stockings

My light bulb moment was redefining “stocking filler” as something bulky that fills a stocking rather than lots of small expensive tat.
Something like a rolled up comic/magazine/sticker book
Or a tube of pringles/sweets/biscuits
Or cans of coke/ bags of crisps...
Between that an the traditional orange down the toe there isn’t a huge amount of space to fill.

My dds are 10 and 6 at christmas. I've gone on the toys for a pound website and bought lots of stocking bits. Such as sand bottle maker, monster high vinyl figures, stationary, spongebob swimming toy, various blind bags, teen titans toys.

I always put a beanie boo in the top of the stocking - this year a narwal and sloth for dd1 and unicorn cat and llama for dd2.

I've bought dd1 various pusheen and Harry potter merchandise from Primark or reduced in Claire's accessories. Fleece blankets, new cups with straws, snowglobe, stationary, backpack, swimming towel/bag/goggles.

Photo frame with photo of a fun day out - DD's love this sort of thing for their room.

Adult colouring books and Sharpies go down well here. We have Harry potter, animals and Pokemon ones.

Nintendo 2ds is used loads by both DD's. Can get good deals second hand - I paid £30 including 4 games. They like Pokemon, legend of Zelda and Mario games.

Amazon fire tablet also used alot by both dds. For homework, reading and playing games.

Dd1 loves graphic novels especially the Simpsons, adventure time, teen titans and Pokemon. Or the Phoenix comics and beano are good too.

I've got quite a bit from Aliexpress, such as stationery, pencil cases, and USB charging cables.

These are particularly notable as they've arrived and I'm really pleased with them.

GoldenBuns · 19/10/2018 16:51

BonnesVacances - those kawaii pens are adorable! I'm guessing you are in the US though, would love too find them in the UK.

Bath bombs. Last year, Waitrose did Gruffalo bubble bath and shampoo, your youngest is probably a bit old for that but there must be similar stuff around this year which would actually be useful, rather than thrown to one side.
Make up bits and pieces for the oldest. Try Superdrug.
Hair bobbles for the younger girl.
Colouring pencils.
Rolled up comic/magazine.
Variety pack box of their favourite breakfast cereal, and one of those sachets of hot chocolate which are flavoured (eg Malteasers, Galaxy etc).
New character mug.
Bouncy ball for the youngest.
Tub of play doh for those that use it.

Primark have nice fleece blankets and cushions too.

WeeM · 21/10/2018 10:09

I usually put a pair of slippers and/or socks in and that takes up a decent amount of space and then the rest can be smaller, lower value items like pens, chocs, lip balms, stickers or whatever
