Posting To New Zealand

I was just wondering if anyone has experience of posting chocolate to New Zealand - specifically chocolate Advent Calendars (from the UK)? I've checked both the Royal Mail & New Zealand Post Office websites; they both mention that you can't post anything with less than a six month expiry date, but I'm not sure if that covers chocolate? Any one managed it successfully before? Thanks in advance!

I’ve never had any trouble sending or receiving chocolate from NZ. You just have to fill in the customs declaration on the front describing what is in the parcel and the value. I doubt they’d be worried about chocolate, it’s fresh food that is a problem.
