I've bought a brand new tree this year, a white fibre optic one! Last years snow tipped one wouldn't survive my 17 month old this year!

Show me your christmas trees, I love seeing others 😍

We have two but this is our main one :) I am a fan of classic red and gold as you can see.

Love these threads! This is mine from last year, but I've redecorated this year so I'm thinking of changing the theme to black, white and yellow this year.

I present to you:

Our tasteful tree in the lounge, and the kids' 'Christmas has vomited' tree in the dining room! Xmas Grin

This is our tree. DH does the lights and then is banned from touching it. It usually takes me about 2 hours to get everything perfect and strategically placed on it.

If we have kids, they will definitely get their own tree, I couldn't bear anyone messing with my tree! 😍

This was ours last year. My partner insists on a real one, 8ft tall and almost as wide! took up half the lounge lol

From last year.
Love my fat wonky, first real tree! Grin
Am undecided between purple or rose gold baubles this year. Could I have both or would they clash? Confused

This is ours from last year. The elf did the pants!!! This year the kids will have this fake tree in the playroom and we'll get a real one for the lounge. We've moved house so I'm going Christmas crazy this year!

I would really like a pear shaped tree as it looks more natural but can't seem to find any this year. I first saw one in a local cafe and it looked amazing. They bought it from Very, but they no longer sell them :(

This was ours a few years ago as I don't seem to have a more recent one on this device. It was just a small one as my dh was recovering from having some stents fitted and couldn't get ours out of the attic. I had a few handmade crochet stars and snowflakes and some fairy lights from our camping kit. It was a really sweet tree and suited that particular year.

they are all so pretty 😍 last years tree was warm lights with red and gold but going for a total change this year with the fibre optic tree with silver and black decorations! hoping it won't look too cold!

when is the earliest you all put your christmas tree up? do you have any other decorations about the house?

We have a wooden Nutcracker soldier who is out all year. He watches over us from the top of the dresser Smile

longtompot · 13/10/2018 18:08

I used to put mine up when the kids broke up from school, but now I put it up early Dec and leave it up until twelfth night.
I have decorations around the place. I do a display in my living room window and across my mantlepiece. I put up battery operated fairy lights where I can, esp up the stair rail. My kitchen window also has tealights and real foliage along it.

nandaandm · 13/10/2018 18:17

This is ours from last year! It was the first time we'd had a real tree in 18 years. I loved it, but it was a nightmare to get out .

Our tree is filling up with Disney characters so pink, green, blue and gold plus some extras that sneak in. Also plenty gold tinsel 🎅🏼

Mine from last year, we always have a real one but is a nightmare to get out of the house once it’s over, we also end up swearing at each other quite a bit.

We always used to have a ‘real’ tree but my autistic son couldn’t cope with the idea of a tree being cut down and torn away from its family and then abandoned after Christmas (and people say autistics lack empathy 🙈). I decided if I was allowed a real tree I had to get an over the top one instead. It was a bit of an impulse purchase but I love it!
