Baby Annabelle?

She’s very expensive - is she worth it? Dd will be 3. I can’t decide whether she will be better off with a regular normal plain doll.
This Annabelle is rather lovely: www.<a class="break-all" href="https://amazon.co.uk/Baby-Annabell-700600-Special-Interactive/dp/B07BWSG9YT?tag=mumsnet&ascsubtag=mnforum-christmas-3388831-Baby-Annabelle" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">amazon.co.uk/Baby-Annabell-700600-Special-Interactive/dp/B07BWSG9YT

Expensive though. Have people found Annabelle gets much use? Dd likes to pretend to feed and change dolls etc - or she does at playgroup. She will probably ignore the thing here, as is the way!

Annabelle is liked much more than Baby Born here. Ours has always been faulty, she just always falls asleep a minute after turning her on which is annoying. She's usually played with off rather than on. I did think she was a bit too big my daughter when she got her at 3 though, she struggled to carry her round.

My daughters all had an Annabelle but they didn't really play with them until they were older. In fact my 4 year old still favours her cheapy small soft body dolls. They're just a better size for smaller hands!

That’s kind of what I thought actually...

Not to go against the grain, my dd had one this year for her 3rd birthday. She loves her. The only trouble is she can't burp her so Annabelle cries until I come and wind the damn thing.
She likes that she can feed her and put her dummy in and 'talks' to her.
However I got a cheaper one on Amazon as the box was damaged. Look out for something like that?

We had cheaper soft body dolls to begin with and bought Baby Annabelle later (from around 6 or 7years) She was a good buy though, played with for years and still with us.
Not all girls enjoy playing with baby dolls do they. Some enjoy fashion dolls more, or other toys entirely.

They all look the same with biro on their face so you might as well get a cheap one.

No I hated dolls, but dd seems to like them. She makes a beeline for them at playgroup and friend’s houses.

I wondered about a gotz doll. They look quite nice.
