Recently he has helped me and dp and DC so much with extra money to cover bills ect when we moved, because we lost deposit on previous flat and helped put up shelves ect in new house, he's even popped by and dropped of shopping when we haven't asked. He lives 2hrs away from us and will visit most weeknds. This year due to moving, we completely forgot his birthday which he thankfully understood.
What do I get him for xmad?
A pair of concert tix is a no because he will take NY bro rather than a mate.
I'm looking to spend around £100 I suppose
He's just had a new watch doesn't wear jewellery
Arsenal supporter

All I can think is a pair of trainers or an amazon echo
Any other suggest ions please

He will take NY bro ? What / who is NY bro ?

My suggestion - membership to Arsenal Supporter's Trust or Arsenal clothing ( hoodies and jumpers are about 100 pounds) .

Good luck - it sounds like you have a lovely Dad .

What sort of budget are you thinking?

SerenDippyEggs · 05/10/2018 12:17

@NWQM I think about £100!

Obviously this is a stab in the dark but - as he likes spending time with you all - we got the monopoly Arsenal edition last year for a fan and it went down well. You’d still have enough money to buy him his favourite beers / spirits and make a hamper of other treats. He sounds lovely and that he might be due a bit of fuss so if there isn’t an obvious ‘big’ one odd thing perhaps showing you appreciated him by the effort of lots of little?

Oh sorry NY bro - typo supposed to say my bro haha.
Me and dh don't drink. We've bought his his fav tipple before but now kinda think alcohol is a silly gift.
Thanks for ideas everyone though

Maybe upgrade him to sports channels for a few months or a subscription to Netflix or Spotify would be good with an echo dot? Or maybe a coffee card that he can use throughout the year when he stops off for a cup. He sounds like a champ.
