Hi all,

What do you recommend buying an 18 month old?

He already has a bike/trike. I was going to buy a table and chair for activities like colouring etc. But stuck for other suggestions

Happyland! Big hit in our house.

Duplo.

Wooden brio train set

A play tent. We had the £5 thing from Ikea and it was still being played with when DS were 10/11 (as a Den when having neighbourhood nerf wars). They used it in the house for games and teddy bear picnics etc and when a bit older for indoor camping :) Also used as a shelter outside for games and to get out the sun. Originally bought when DS1 was still crawling as he didn't like the feel of the grass.

A big garage/dolls house type of thing

A sand/water table (but probably more use in the summer)

An easel or play shop or kitchen

Agree with the Duplo/wooden train and table already suggested

Playmobile 123 range

And a surprise hit from a young age was Jenga but used for the blocks to make tracks/build parking bays etc.

These were the most played with things (along with an outdoor climbing frame) and the things that they played with the longest.
