Morrison's Christmas delivery slots?

Anyone know when these will be released? I missed the memo last year and only managed to get a shitty 22 Dec delivery. I need to be prepared this year!

They are being released in October apparently, I asked them on Twitter. On their site you can click on the Christmas delivery slots tab but the link doesn’t work.

I've been using the app and I check every so often but just conscious I missed last time. I have a delivery pass that is supposed to get me exclusive access to the slots before everyone else. I failed last year. Now I'm too damn early!!

When I see them open I’ll post on here in case you haven’t seen them. Morrison’s did make a bit of a joke of how organised I am

I got an email last night about being able to book the slots (I have a delivery pass).

me too. I've booked my slot this morning while DS is at swimming and DD is at dancing and I'm sitting in a cafe alone (best bit of my week!)

I did not get an email.

I have a delivery pass. The only dates available are 20th & 21st. I went for 21st, only time slots available are 7.30 - 8.30 am or 9.30 - 10.30pm

Utter fuckwombles. They're saving all the best dates and slots for later. What's the point in having a delivery pass and being a loyal customer if they cannot give any benefit to me?!

Whine over. Judging from last years queues and threads, I'm not ordering my Christmas shop to collect in store at Sainsbury's. I can't stand up for that long!!

I think you missed the best slots, sorry. I got the email yesterday and mine is 8-9am on the 23rd

Is it only delivery pass ones that are bookable? I have been searching their website daily but can’t see anything yet!

Yes it's supposed to give those who have a delivery pass priority booking for Christmas delivery dates. no priority here though, just shit dates.

legocardsagain that’s rubbish! Maybe you’ll be able to change it as they release the normal slots?

I’ve just remembered last year I didn’t decide until the first week of December to do our shopping online and I still got a good date and time. I guess it depends where you live.

We have quite a big Morrison’s about 5mins away and have never had any issues with substitutes etc so we’ve been very lucky.

Will just have to keep checking for when the normal slots become available.

If it’s any consolation OP, I tried to reserve a slot within 4 hours of receiving their email and there was NOTHING left at all. I even tang their CS to check this wasn’t a hiccup on their site & they confirmed they’d all gone.

@KriswithaK This furthers the conspiracy theory. There is no benefit for delivery pass holders. They only released a few slots, which booked up really fast. Then in another week or so, they'll release more slots for the wider public. Then in the first week of December they'll release the lot. Fuckers. I'm going to book a delivery for every day in December then cancel them each day as I decide I don't need them. Think I'll fill my baskets with champagne too. I will get revenge! Mwah ha harrrr

I booked mine within 15min of getting the email and there weren’t a huge amount left then. I have a watch that pings for emails luckily and I was on the ball, but I could have really easily missed it

I always choose 21st/22nd, how are they bad dates? Not meaning that snippily, jusy interested in other people’s timings. I actually try and get it all done in a maybe 19th slot and keep 22nd for anything I forgot.

I'd prefer a delivery on 18/19 and then on 23 Dec. That still gives me time to grab anything missing or forgotten on 24th without having to brave the supermarket for a full shop. I'm disabled with mobility issues. I'd also have my DS with me who has his own unique character and doesn't fare well in shops with long queues/crowds. I'd then want a 28th delivery too. I pretty much rely on online shopping most weeks of the year. Hence why I'm a bit miffed that regular shoppers aren't really getting a priority.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t be miffed, just being nosey about when other people like their Christmas shopping.

BiscuitDrama the 22nd poss 23rd are my preferred dates too.

I also have mobility issues like legocardsagain and GAD so going to a crowded supermarket is hell on earth for me. I’m lucky and DH does 99.9% of shopping, he prefers to shop instore so we don’t have a delivery pass but always have our Christmas food shop delivered, it’s one less thing to worry about that way.

I wish DH did the shopping! I do it all online, set up the delivery and tell him when the deadline is to add/change things. It's set up on his phone so really easy for him. But he does nothing. Except complain that I've got the wrong flavour crisps or forgotten soup. Hmm

I've had a delivery pass for ages and I didn't get an email! I'm strongly considering leaving them and this isn't helping!

It's also worth noting that you cannot have more than 3 deliveries in the week before Christmas, and no slots for 24th have been released yet.

Yay! At least you finally got the date you wanted, even if it is a late delivery.

I still can’t book mine, they haven’t released general ones yet. I did um and ahh about paying for a delivery pass and getting more shopping delivered but decided against it in the end, just have to be patient.

Oh no @Bumbumtaloo I thought they had just opened them up now. Maybe a few people cancelled in my area. Or they got a new driver...

Oh well, I'm going to stop moaning. I remember last year people posted about waiting in queues for 1hr+ to collect their pre ordered Christmas shopping. There is no way I'm going through that!!
